Monohallucinatory Mountain test pressing in hand-painted sleeve
David Tibet created an edition of 41 hand-painted black sleeves, each with a self-portrait, or multiple self-portraits, of him arising as Aleph, the Speller, the Killer. Each image is made up of the words ‘I Arose as Aleph, the Speller, the Killer’ written thousands of times in white ink on a black LP sleeve.
Each sleeve comes with a white label test pressing of the ‘Monohallucinatory Mountain’ album with handwritten labels by David. The back of each cover is numbered in Græco-Coptic and has a handwritten text stating the nature of the project.
