Tony McPhee on stageIn our last update, I erroneously gave the wrong opening date for my art exhibition in Hastings. It opens on WEDNESDAY, 24 APRIL at 7pm (not Tuesday, April 23 as I mistakenly wrote on the last update) and it is open to all. It is being held at my favourite bar, The Dragon, in my home town of Hastings Old Town, England. I am also OverMoon to announce that that my UtterHero, Tony McPhee, will be playing Hallucinatory Hog Guitar for a FixFixFixed time during the opening.

Joe Budenholzer: The Hound of Heaven

I have just contributed to beloved Joe Budenholzer’s THE HOUND OF HEAVEN project. The funding campaign ends at 23:59 US Pacific time, Wednesday 22 May, so there is not long left. I very much hope this comes to pass. I love Joe, and I love Francis Thompson’s work too. For those who don’t know the poem on which Joe’s work is based, please read the poem here. If you can, please contribute and spread the Heart of the Wood. Joe’s message about his project is below. At the time of writing this, the project still needs $2,220.

Recent difficulties in my personal life, including the sad break up between me and my recent partner, have slightly delayed the final elements of work on my forthcoming lyric book. I have been battered and spun by the BaalStorm. Cupid, shoot me with another arrow from your UtterOmega Bow.

However, I have now resumed work on it. It will no longer be called Under the Rain and Teeth of Gods; its title is now confirmed as Sing Omega. I am pleased to give a fairly complete list of the contents; I may have missed out a couple of titles that are included, so the titles below may not be comprehensive. This book is VERY imminent indeed.

I mentioned in an earlier update that my archive is about to be purchased by a prestigious university in the USA. In celebration of this sale, the lovely Johan Kugelberg and his colleagues at Boo-Hooray will be hosting an extensive exhibition of material from the archive, including many rarities, letters, photos, and a large collection of my holograph manuscripts for my lyrics. We hope the exhibition will open at a date between November 2013 and March 2014. A large illustrated book will be published some months afterwards, again by Boo-Hooray, picturing a large selection from my archive. We are also hoping to hold a simultaneous exhibition of my paintings and drawings in another NYC gallery.

I am considering taking a small holiday in Jerusalem, a city I have always wanted to visit. Are there any people reading this update who live in Jerusalem? If so, please let me know by emailing  with “Jerusalem” in the subject line.

I imagine it’s unlikely, but are there any Assyriologists reading this who are beginning, or proficient in, Akkadian?

An important section on DavidTibet.com will be an online portfolio of my artwork; both those pieces available for sale and those held in collections. I am asking all of those who own original paintings and drawings of mine to scan, or take good quality photographs, of work of mine they own, if they would be so kind, so we can add them to my online portfolio.

I would be delighted if all of those who have tattoos of C93 images, texts, titles—anything by or connected to my and C93’s work—could send me good quality photos of them—with their name—for use in a future C93 project. THANK YOU! Please send to  with C93 TATTOOS in the subject line.
