Another two books have come out from one of my favourite publishers, Teitan Press. The most recent is A Book of the Offices of Spirits—The Occult Virtue of Plants and Some Rare Magical Charms & Spells, from a previously unpublished Sixteenth Century Manuscript on Magic and Necromancy by John Porter, transcribed by Frederick Hockley, and with an Introduction by Colin D. Campbell.

I shoot praises for a perfect vinyl-only album that has just been sent to me, BLAZE FOLEY’s Clay Pigeons. I had never heard of him or his work before, but Greg Gardner of Secret Seven Records knows my taste and kindly sent me a pre-release copy. I wanted to say how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE the perfect new album by Amebix, Sonic Mass. One of the most powerful albums I have EVER heard. I am full of delight at, and envy of, this album. And a VastThankYou to Matt Davies of Tangled Parrot for sending it to me in Berlin.

One of my favourite websites is that of Alin Suciu, a friend of mine as well as a Coptologist who is doing excellent research on identifying Patristic authors in Coptic manuscripts, as well as on many other topics. My beloved friend and colleague Geoff Cox has just published the second in his wonderfulANNA series, Anna and the Juniper Dog. This is one of the most haunting books I have read—truly beautiful and truly hallucinatory!

My endlessly delayed lyric book is now nearing publication, you will all be unable to believe. But it is! It starts off with the lyrics for LAShTAL and ends with the lyrics for the as-yet unreleased album I am still recording with Zu as Zu93, MIRROR EMPEROR.

Teitan Press have just reissued Timothy d’Arch Smith’sThe Times Deceas’d, an absolutely beautiful and wonderful book, and one that I have treasured ever since it came out many years ago in the original edition.
